- Description
- The Theater Deployable Communications (TDC) Initial Communications Element (ICE) v3.0 is a commercial off the shelf/non-development item consisting of three integrated communications modules; a Satellite Modem Module (SMM), an ICE Crypto Module (ICM), and a Small Access Module (SAM). ICE v3.0 is a café style initial communications package whose equipments are installed in, and operated from, transit cases. ICE v3.0 will provide the warfighter with access to the Defense Subscriber Network (DSN), Non-secure Internet Protocol Router NETwork (NIPRNET), and Secure Internet Protocol Router NETwork (SIPRNET).
