- Audio-visual Equipment Rental and Services for the 15th National Education Conference of the Association of Administrative Law Judges (AALJ) The Social Security Administration (SSA), Region 9, intends to negotiate with Swank Audio Visual, 1441 Quivira Road, San Diego, CA, 92109 on a sole-source basis for Audio-Visual (AV) Equipment Rental and Services at the Hyatt Islandia Hotel, San Diego, California. Swank Audio Visual must provide all equipment and services identified in the Statement of Work (SOW) to meet the presentation needs of the conference. Swank Audio Visual shall be responsible for providing all cables, connectors and switchers needed to operate the equipment to ensure a seamless transition of audio-visual presentations throughout the conference sessions. Swank Audio Visual shall be responsible for providing and setting up all equipment, testing of and ensuring proper operation of all equipment and systems. Swank Audio Visual shall be responsible for providing all of the necessary overall support, recommendation, suggestions, adjustments required to integrate with and comply with the hotel limitations and requirements, sound reinforcement to all sessions, work out all elements directly with the hotel and resolve any issues prior to the start of the conference, etc. Swank Audio Visual shall be responsible for de-installing and removing all equipment from the hotel facilities once the conference is over. SSA intends to negotiate directly with Swank Audio Visual so as to comply with contractual (Maintenance & Warranty) agreements already in place, and ensure a smooth and rapid response and clear line of accountability for all mechanical breakdowns, thus minimizing disruption to operations, while maintaining limited down time of the audio visual rental and services. Swank Audio Visual Prospective must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to award of a contract. Swank Audio Visual shall be required to complete either a paper copy of the Representations and Certifications or may complete them online at http://orca.bpn.gov) in responding to this requirement. The Government will consider all information from responsible sources that is submitted to the point of contact by 2:00 PM (California time) on September 22, 2006, but a determination by the Government not to compete this action is solely at the discretion of the Government.
