- This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation to satisfy the government?s requirement for commercial item(s)/service(s) parachute altimeters per format in subpart part 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this solicitation. This announcement constitutes the only publication; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ) and the solicitation number is M6700106Q0141. Documentation number M1200906SU00022. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for all qualified small businesses the solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-12. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 451110 and the small business size standard is 100 employees. The purpose of this solicitation is to procure the commercial item/service listed below, in support of 2D Recon Bn aboard Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC. The item/service required: Parachute Altimeter, Line Item 0001: P/N: MA2-30A, Qty: 70, Item Name: I1172A Altimeter Black Face, Item Description: The MA2-30A altimeter is intended as a higher quality parachuting altimeter. This altimeter has a black face, white numbers, with yellow and red warning sector, and reads only in feet. Usable to 30,000 feet MSL. The heart of the altimeter has a rugged precision and temperature compensated mechanism. The altimeter has a complete red bulb lighting system, for night parachuting.
