Description
This notice does not constitute an Invitation for Bids or a Request for Proposal, and it is not a commitment by the Department of the Navy to procure products or services. The purpose of Amendment 3 to Solicitation Reference Number-0010187687 - Request for Information (RFI) for the Vertical Unmanned Aircraft System (VUAS) - is as follows : (1) Cancel Amendment 2, posted 15 September 2006, in its entirety. (2) Revise the notional Vertical Unmanned Aircraft System (VUAS) performance requirement stated in Amendment 1, posted 15 September 2006, pertaining to the notional VUAS speed requirement. Under the Operating Concepts section of Amendment 1, the statement "The minimum speed required would be 200 kts, but 240 kts would be preferred" - is hereby deleted and replaced with the following: "The VUAS will need to possess sufficient speed to support Marine Corps' Expeditionary Maneuver Warfare and Ship To Objective Maneuver operations. The Department of the Navy does not wish to limit industry response or preclude potential candidates from being considered based on notional speed requirements." All other information provided in Amendment 1 remains unchanged.
