Description

The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to questions received. Question: It is our current understanding that you are requesting only the GenSet with a base tank and on-site testing and training. You do not require an ATS, disconnects or installation services, correct? Answer: The requirement is for a 500 kW packaged generator with outdoor enclosure and base tank. All ATS, installation, and connection services will be performed by a separate contract. Question: Is the due date going to change? Answer: The deadline for proposal submission has not changed. Question: The Statement contains square boxes. Could you help me to clarify the text? What do the squares mean? Answer: The square boxes in the combined synopsis/solicitation are a formatting error. The square boxes should be hyphens. Question: Should the generator be mounted on a trailer for transportation? Answer: The generator will be placed outside on a concrete slab. A trailer is not required. Question: Is the generator going to be placed in a room or outside? Answer: The generator will be placed outside. The outdoor enclosure shall match the exterior brick facade. Question: The RFG calls for: 500kW 120/208V 1200A circuit breaker The following shows the amperages allowed at different voltages based on a 500kW output. 208V = 1734A 240V = 1503A 480V = 751A This shows that we need to go with 480V and also we need to go with an 800A circuit breaker (based off a circuit breaker overload of 115%). Is this correct? Answer: The 1200 amp rating is incorrect. The correct rating should be 2000 amp.
