- The 42nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell AFB, AL intends to award a sole source contract to College Options Foundation, LLC, 105 Crossbow Ct., Peachtree City, GA 30296 for the following item: 0001. CD-ROM titled ?The Studyworks Complete Guide to SAT Preparation? with shipping and handling 2000each. This is a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. If there are any other businesses that can provide the specified publication, they must respond to this notice before 1500hrs (Central Time) on 21May06. If no responses are received by the above date, a sole source contract with College Options Foundation will be pursued. Description of the supplies and services being acquired: AFOATS/CR intends to procure student development material for the Air Force Junior ROTC Program. The CD-ROM is titled The Studyworks Complete Guide to SAT Preparation and will be used in Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp (AFJROTC) schools to provide students essential information on a step-by-step approach to taking the SAT. 2. Justification for Sole Source (see paragraph ii(A & B) on the attached template): The College Options Foundation, LLC, has previously created The Complete Guide to College Financing and Admissions which has been previously purchased by AFOATS/CR for use within AFJROTC. The Studyworks Complete Guide to SAT Preparation is a supplemental CD-ROM designed by the College Options Foundation, LLC as a companion to The Complete Guide to College Financing and Admissions. This purchase must be consistent with the materials currently in use at the various AFJROTC detachments to ensure continuity in the cadets? instruction. Purchasing materials that do not conform to the materials in place would be detrimental the AFJROTC mission. 3. Justification that source is the only known source (talk to your efforts to find other sources): The College Options Foundation, LLC is the only known source capable of satisfying the requirement of complimenting current material used by AFJROTC. 4. Actions taken to preclude future sole source acquisitions: No action can be taken to preclude future sole source acquisitions under the current conditions (intellectual ownership of companion material).
