Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation Sub Part 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number F3HKA56243A1 is issued as a request for quotations. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-05. The NAICS Code is 423430; the NAICS size standard is 100 employees. 55 CONS intends to issue a firm fixed priced purchase order for the following items: One (1) ea: ANALYZER Tape Management System (not refurbished) or EQUAL ITEM. Must meet the following specifications: Software automatically handles all critical phases of operation, including tape control, error detection and error reporting with consistent accuracy. Perform such funtions as intensive cleaning over a questionable section of tape, stopping on individual errors, plus detecting and identifying multi track errors; provide variable length header protect as well as a hard copy printout of a tape profile. Duplicate the operation of an actual tape drive and provide error detection exactly as in GCR format (5250BPI). Variable testing thresholds permit testing at ANSI new tape specifications or at tape drive specifications (write/skip) or any operator selected threshold. The voltage on the Analyzer is either 115 VAC; 60 Hz; 6.25 Amps, or 220 VAC; 50 Hz; 4 Amps. Automatic UnloadProcess Time: 2.3 min/reel Throughput: 15 reels per hour Test Process Time: 3.9 min per reel Clean Process Time: 2.4 min per reel Drive Speed: 400 ips Must have the following features: Vacuum Column Transport Rotary Cleaning Blade Vacuum Assisted Grid Cleaning Adjustable Threshold Levels Machine Self-Diagnostics Microprocessor Control Three-Track Error Detection Clean Only Membrane Switch Panel Header Protect BOT Fault Indicator Locked Management Panel Powered Packer Arm Tape Head Lifter Downstream Erase Thermal Printer Half Cycle Strip Tape --QUOTES MUST REMAIN VALID THROUGH 01 OCTOBER 2006-- --THIS ACQUISITION IS SUBJECT TO FAR 52.232-19 FUNDS SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY-- All quotes should be received NLT Thursday, 21 September 2006, at 12:00 pm (cst), and sent electronically via e-mail, if possible, to scott.reed@offutt.af.mil or faxed to (402) 294-7280.
