Description
This is a notice that the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate, under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253 (c)(1), a sole source purchase order with Apptis, Inc., 14155 Newbrook Drive, Chantilly, Virginia. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice in conjunction with the procedures in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; and a written solicitation will not be issued. VISN 21 has a requirement to procure VMWare ESX Server license subscription and maintenance support for equipment purchased under Delivery Order #640-A69117 PCHS II (Apptis) Contract. This is a follow-on requirement that must be satisfied by the current contractor. The Software and Maintenance to support this equipment is open market pricing. The Software to be installed on the equipment by the vendor prior to shipping is one each for the four ESX Servers: Dell VM Infrastructure 3 Enterprise - 2 processor additive license - ESX Virtual SMP VC Agent Vmotion HA DRS VCB and Dell Platinum SNS for VI 3 Enterprise - 2 proc - 1 year 24x7 Support and full Subscription. This is a VISN-Wide requirement, which is to support VA Sierra Nevada (Reno), VA Northern CA (Martinez), VA Central CA (Fresno), and VA Outpatient (Honolulu) medical facilities. The VMWare ESX System purchase was based on equipment required to ensure standardization of hardware used for regional purchases of ESX Systems. Interested persons may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to this requirement. This notice is not a request for proposal or a solicitation for offers. The Government will consider all information received prior to award. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The NAICS code is 519190 and the SIC size standard is $21 million. This requirement is unrestricted. Provisions and Clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12. The following Solicitation Provisions/Contract Clauses are applicable: FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items (Sep 2005), FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders - Commercial Items (Aug 2006). For the purposes of this clause items (b) 1, 7, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 32 are considered checked and apply, and VAAR 852.270-4 Commercial Advertising (Nov 1984).
