Description

The VA desires to establish consolidated contracts for medical cylinder gases utilized at VA Medical facilities throughout Veterans Integrated Service Network 17 (VISN-17). The gases to be purchased include, but are not limited to compressed Medical Air USP, Oxygen USP, Carbon Dioxide USP, Nitrogen NF, Nitrous Oxide USP, Helium USP, and specialty medical gas mixtures. This action is not for the purchase of bulk oxygen or home health oxygen. VISN 17 occupies mainly the corridor along interstate I-35 in Central Texas. Facilities are located in Bonham, Fort Worth, Dallas, Waco, Temple, San Antonio, and Kerrville. The contract items will be ordered by and delivered to the individual activities listed in the schedule. The quantities shown in the schedule are estimates of each activity's annual requirements. There is no express or implied guarantee that these quantities will be purchased. The schedule also indicates whether the contractor will fill government owned cylinders, will provide contractor owned cylinders, or will be servicing the facility with a combination of both. The contract awarded under this solicitation will be in effect from January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007 plus four (4) one-year option periods.
