- The VISN 7 Acquisition Service Center intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Siemens Communications, Inc. for the purchase of telecommunications equipment, which will upgrade the existing Private Branch Exchange (PBX) with the capability of voice calls across the current Internet Protocol infrastructure for the VA Medical Center, located in Charleston, SC. Siemens Communications, Inc. was the original installer of this telecommunications equipment. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302 -1 only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code is 334210. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations; No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within (ten) 10 calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis.
