Description
The Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), FAA Academy, Aviation Automation Branch, AMA-240, has a requirement for the acquisition of six (6)CAE Inc Training Systems - consisting of three (3)Boeing 737-800 MCDU trainers with V-SIM computer chip (Internal), dual screen display computer monitors, dual screen display processor, computer with the V-SIM installed, Tactile FMC mounted box with digital read-out, and all cables required; and three (3) CRJ 200 MCDU trainers V-SIM computer chip, dual screen display computer monitors, dual screen display processor, computer with the V-SIM installed, Tactile FMC mounted box with digital read-out, and all cables required; in support of their mission in the National Airspace System (NAS). National Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334511. Based upon the requiring offices' justification for single source acquisition; Only these systems will match those installed in the existing multi-million dollar Full Flight Simulator owned by the Flight Standards Service,AFS-400, and which is installed in the FAA Academy Systems Training Building Annex. All systems must match for training standardization from the ground trainers to the Integrated Procedures Trainer, to the Full Flight Simulator. The FAA herein announces its intention to award a Firm Fixed Price Requirements Type Contract to CAE Inc for $338,000.00 USD. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: DOT, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (SADBU), has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
