Description

The U.S. Secret Service (USSS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Resilite for Wrestling Mats and Slot Wainscot Wall Panel, however all quotes received would be considered. This purchase is for Wrestling Mats, Slot Back Wainscot Panels (cut to fit room) and Freight. The line items, description, dimensions, and specifications are as follows: AMC-2 continuous 1.25? thick foam core Mats manufactured using a cross link, closed cell polyethylene foam are not acceptable. Mats shall be 2 sided and coated on all sides and edges using polyvinyl coating, vinyl fabric covered mats are not acceptable. Foam core shall have a compression/deflation of 5.5-7.5 psi and meet ASTM testing standard D1056. It shall have a tension strength of 75 psi or greater and meet ASTM testing standard D412-98a(2002)e1 Standard Test Methods. The foam core shall have an elongation property of 125%. The Mat shall be tested for impact protection. Test method used shall be ASTM testing standard F1292-04. It shall have a G max reading of less than (<)200 cm/s and a HIC reading score of less than (<)1,000 from a 4? drop height. Manufacturer shall be able to provide 3rd party, independent test results upon request. The Manufacturer shall be able to provide customized mat sized and configurations as needed and full-color computer renderings of wrestling mats with graphics for review. Wrestling Mat shall be guaranteed for at least 3 years from the date of shipment.. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 6.302 Circumstances permitting other than full and open competition. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No formal solicitation package is available. Any inquiries must include a full capability statement and must be received not later than three (3) days after publication of this synopsis. Any inquiries must identify the vendor?s ability to meet the delivery schedule as stated herein. The Government will not be responsible for any costs in preparation of responses to this announcement.
