Description

This pre-solicitation announcement is for the sole source procurement of AN/AVR-2B(V) Laser Detecting Set, associated spare parts and services. It is anticipated that the resultant award will be a requirements contract with a base year and four (4) one year options for a total estimated value of $175m. Award is contemplated to be made to Goodrich Corporation, Danbury, CT as a requirements contract with both firm fixed price and time and materials line items. Goodrich is the only source capable of producing AN/AVR-2B(Vs) that are form, fit and functionally compatible with previously acquired AN/AVR-2A(Vs)to ensure operation and installation on aircraft platforms using the AN/AVR-2A(V).The solicitation and associated documents will be posted on the I BOP on or about May 5th, 2006. The US Army Communications Electronics Life Cycle Management Command (CE-LCMC) has established the Interactive Business Opportunities Page (IBOP) website to allow electronic transmittal of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and I nvitations for Bids (IFBs) from CE-LCMC to Industry.
