Description
The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistic Center intends to issue a solicitation and award a contract for the procurement of hydraulic pump units (HPU’s) and an Auxiliary Pump Unit (APU) to be used for the controllable pitch propeller open loop conversion aboard the USCG Polar Sea. This equipment will be utilized on USCG Polar Class Cutters. The solicitation will be issued on a brand name or equal basis using the brand name IMO Industries. The following is the list of items that will be purchased in order to put this system together: (1) Hydraulic Pump Unit (HPU), consisting of IMO Industries, Inc., model 6-D-312P, Servo Control Pump and model 3D-137, Pilot Control Pump, with double extended IEEE 45 motor, steel base plate and completely mounted pump/driver assembly or Equal. (2) Auxiliary Pump Unit (APU) consisting of one auxiliary pump driven by one motor, completely flange or bracket mounted to conform to NFPA T3.92 on a steel base plate suitable for installation with Barry Controls UC4300 cup mount or similar isolation mounts. Salient characteristics of pump units can be downloaded from FedBizOpps. Testing and Inspection certificate, commercially available instruction manuals and drawings shall be included with each unit. Delivery will be F.O.B. destination to the U. S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Bldg. 88, Baltimore, MD 21226. Delivery schedule for the pumps shall be 140 calendar days after award. The EDP shall be submitted 60 calendar days after award. Any Contractor offering an "or equal" shall be required to provide literature which addresses all salient characteristics. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOps on or about 21 August 2006. It is the contractor's responsibility to check FedBizopps on a regular basis for the solicitation and any amendments issued. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (18-AUG-2006).
