- Description
- This project is for the HVAC and ECMS Upgrade at the J.M. Jones Federal Building in Amarillo, Texas. Demolition, alterations, and construction work are required to replace existing 45-ton water cooled chiller, cooling tower, pumps, and associated piping and electrical, as well as abandoned hot water supply and return pipes between boiler main and chilled water supply and return lines. The completion time for this project is 120 days after receiving Notice to Proceed, and the prime contractor is expected to perform at least 45 % of the work. The NAICS code is 238220 and the Small Business Size Standard is $13M. The solicitation will be electronically posted on the internet at http:/www.fedbizopps.gov on or about October 3, 2006. At that time, interested parties will be able to request copies of the drawings by completing and returning (via fax) the Document Security Notice, which will be posted with the solicitation. A copy of the requestor?s Driver?s License must accompany this request. This acquisition is open to both large and small businesses in accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. Potential contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry to be eligible for award (see Internet site http://www.ccr.gov). Potential contractors must also be registered with ORCA (see Internet site https://orca.bpn.gov/). The size of this project is estimated to be between $580,000.00 and $670,000.00. Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of any amendments. A pre-bid conference will be scheduled and the date and time will be announced in the solicitation.
