Description
NAICS Code: 541710 The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to award a purchase order, using FAR Part 13 procedures, for slurry sampler Semicontinuous Elements in Aerosol Sampler (Ondov Enterprises model SEAS II) collection of fine fraction particulate matter (>2.5um) and 10-stage Multi-Oriface Uniform Deposit Impactor (MOUDI), MSP Corp. model 110, impactor collection during a 30-day intensive sampling period in Steubenville, Ohio, during the fall of 2006. The U. S. EPA's National Exposure Research Laboratory (NERL) at Research Triangle Park, NC, wants to (1) quantify the collocated collection efficiency of the EPA modified SEAS II slurry sampler and (2) investigate the SEAS II collection efficiency of size-segregated aerosols. To minimize the cost and maximize sample efficiency, NERL would like to collect the collocated SEAS II samples when the EPA SEAS II is in the field on a currently planned monitoring intensive of approximately 30 days. Contractor must be available to participate in the 30-day monitoring study, and will be required to provide the Ondov Enterprises SEAS II sampler with accessories and consumables, the MOUDI impactor with accessories and consumables, as well as a trailer or shelter with electricity for the equipment. Contractor will be required to provide on-site support personnel at Steubenville, Ohio, throughout the sampling event. Period of performance will be from date of issuance of the order through three (3) months. A Request for Quotations (RFQ) with complete information will be posted on the EPA's website in approximately 15 days at the following address: http://www.epa.gov/oam/rtp_cmd/ Hard copies of the RFQ will not be available. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments (if any) will be distributed solely through the EPA's web site.
