- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The NUWC Newport intends to award an unrestricted Fixed Price contract for the following: Computer Interface and Digital Control Card per drawing 6370710 and a Transmitter Assembly per drawing 6934825. The parts will be used as Torpedo Test-Sets. To receive a copy of the drawing, a company must be certified under the Joint Certification Program (JCP) managed for Defense Logistics Information Service, Battle Creek, MI, as evidence by a JCP Certification number in the Business Identification Number Cross-reference System (BINCS). Send an e-mail request for the drawing to Jacob L. Walker at walkerjl@npt.nuwc.navy.mil. Also, please provide your Fed-Ex number. Otherwise, the drawings will have to be mailed by regular delivery. Your request must include your firm?s complete street address, cage code, tel. number. The approximate date for issuance of the Solicitation is Sept 19, 2006. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. We also provide electronic access in our Bid Room.
