Description

Provide and Install Garage Door at National Park Service (NPS) housing located in Marion Creek/Coldfoot, Alaska. POTENTIAL VENDORS PLEASE NOTE: THIS LOCATION IS REMOTESEE DIRECTIONS/INSTRUCTIONS BELOW. Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ), number Q9840060270 and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-09. This is total small business set-aside procurement. The Small Business size standard is $12,000,000. The NAICS is 238350. The contract will be awarded as a purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with the provisions of FAR 13.5. The requirement is for removing and disposing of the existing garage door in the Fairbanks land fill and then to supply and install a new 16 foot X 8 foot garage door that meets the specifications identified below. When responding to this RFQ contractors shall provide pricing as follows: CLIN 0001, Remove existing garage door and dispose of it in the Fairbanks, AK landfill. $_____________ CLIN 0002, Supply and Install one (1) each 16 foot X 8 foot garage door in Marion Creek/Coldfoot, Alaska. $_____________. NOTE: The quote must include all supplies; materials, transportation and labor to remove the existing garage door dispose of it the Fairbanks landfill and install the new garage door in the National Park Service (NPS) housing located in Marion Creek/Coldfoot, Alaska. 1. SPECIFICATIONS: Supply and install one (1) each new, sixteen (16) foot X eight (8) foot garage door that meets the following specifications: A. Color: Tan or neutral color B. Flush Panel design C. No windows D. An insulation value of at least R-10 E. Weather seals between panel sections F. Bottom door seal/threshold required 2. DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION: Delivery and installation of the garage door will be at the NPS housing located in Marion Creek/Coldfoot, Alaska. PROJECT MUST BE COMPLETED NOT LATER THAN OCTOBER 30, 2006. The following FAR clauses apply to this solicitation, and Offerors may obtain full text versions of these clauses electronically at http://www.arnet.gov/far: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (January 2006) applies to this acquisition; quotations submitted in response to this RFQ must include: (1) CLIN numbers and pricing as shown above, and the Contractors full name, address, and telephone number. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items (JAN 1999) is applicable to this RFQ: (a) Factors for evaluation will include price and past performance on similar type contracts; past performance and price are of approximately equal importance. 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration www.ccr.gov, Oct 2003. 52.212-3 -- Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items (June 2006) An offeror shall complete only paragraph (j) of this provision if the offeror has completed the annual representations and certificates electronically at http://orca.bpn.gov . DIRECTIONS/INSTRUCTIONS TO LOCATION: Vendor will deliver door from Fairbanks to NPS housing located in Marion Creek/Coldfoot, Alaska. The NPS Marion Creek housing area is located approximately 270 miles North of Fairbanks along the Dalton Hwy. Coldfoot Camp, a truck stop area with food, lodging, truck maintenance and phone connection is located 7 miles south of Marion Creek and provides year round facilities for drivers along the Hwy. The Dalton highway is maintained year round. Care should be exercised when driving the highway due to high 18 wheel truck traffic and a narrow, winding road base. A phone call should be made from the driver/installer to the Marion Creek housing area prior to delivery of the garage door. This will ensure accurate directions to the site. There is no cell phone coverage at Coldfoot Camp or Marion Creek. On-Site Contact information: Will be provided at time of award. Potential sources having the required SUPPLIES, TRANSPORTATION AND SKILLS TO REMOVE AND INSTALL A NEW GARAGE DOOR are invited to submit quotations that will be considered by the agency. Quotations should be written and submitted in a legible format. Submitted quotes shall have the contractor's Tax Information Number, and DUNS Number. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by this agency. All quotations must be received not later than September 25, 2006, 5:00 P.M. Local Time.
