- The Bureau of Reclamation, Central California Area Office, intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) on a fixed price construction contract for a boathouse located at New Melones Lake. The estimated cost of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) applicable for this project is 237990. The small business size standard for this NAICS code is $31 million. It is anticipated that the RFQ and government Statement of Work will be posted for download on or about October 2, 2006 at http://ideasec.nbc.gov, with quotes due on or about November 2, 2006, 3:00 PM. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, equipment, materials, supplies, permits, transportation and supervision required to build, install, and attach a 2-slip covered boat house with security fencing, lockable walk through security door, lockable aluminum mesh roll-up security grille-type doors for each slip, electric service pedestal, dock boxes, floating boat lifts for each slip, and mooring ball attachment in accordance with the attached scope of work and specifications. The boathouse will have a metal roof and open sides, surrounded by security fencing. The boathouse will be a minimum of 33' x 32'. The Contractor will be responsible for installing, anchoring/securing boathouse at specified location within the New Melones Lake Marina, to be compatible with existing marina design and construction. The boathouse shall be designed to withstand 80 mph wind loads. All designs, drawings and specifications shall be prepared by a registered California engineer and shall be submitted to the New Melones Resource Manager for written approval prior to any construction or installation work. Resource Manager will review and provide written comments to contractor within 21days of receipt of designs, drawings and specifications from contractor. Effective October 1, 2003, any contractor to be awarded a government contract must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Contractors may register at http://www.ccr.gov. Failure to register will make an offeror ineligible for receipt of an award. Effective January 1, 2005, any contractor submitting a quotation, offer or proposal to the Government must complete their Representations and Certifications online. All the representations and certifications which used to be submitted within Section K are now located online. Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA), can be completed at http://orca.bpn.gov. Quotes may be submitted electronically or via fax.
