- This is a sole source notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Capital District Contracting Center (CDCC) intends to neg otiate on a sole source basis with Applera Corporation/Applied Biosystems Group under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to provide an upgrade kit from a 31000 to a 3130xl with computer for the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology located in Washington DC. This notice is not a request for quotations. Applied Biosystems known contractor with the proprietary rights to intergate the upgrade kit with the current system. This notice will be displayed until 4:00 PM EST September 18, 2006. A determination not to comp ete this requirment based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed on a so le source basis. This acquisition is being processed under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The applicable NAICS code is 334516.
