- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This acquisition is being conducted using the procedures in FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation/reference number is F3Z3456206A100; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-12 and Defense DCN 20060908. This acquisition will be unrestricted; the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332311. The business size standard is 500 Employees. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 2590. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 3441. This request for quotation consists of the following NABCO TCV items or equal: Item 0001: Qty 1 LOT, Upgrade Self Closing, Gas Tight System. Item 0002: Qty 1 LOT, Upgrade Programmable Logic Control for Door and Yoke Operation. Item 0003: Qty 1 LOT, Upgrade Track Unit. Item 0004: Qty 1 LOT, Upgrade Radiation Shielding. Item 0005: Qty 1 LOT, One day of training of operator training. Item 0006: Qty 1 LOT, Freight, pick and delivery of TCV. Additional notes: Contractor is responsible for pick up, upgrade, and delivery of existing NABCO TCV to utilize the NABCO Self-Closing Door (SCS). The TCV shall be upgraded to operate in both the vented mode and the gas-tight mode. An on-board vapor phase sample system shall be included. The ability to decontaminate the on-board piping shall be provided. Repainting, certification, and training of the upgraded TCV shall be included.
