Description

The 96 Contracting Squadron, 96 CONS/MSCBA at Eglin AFB, Florida intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole source Firm Fixed Price contract to MOTOROLA, INC, 7301 Columbia Gateway Dr. 3rd Floor, Columbia, MD 21046-2289 for the purchase of a KMF CLIENT and OVER-the-AIR REKEY FLASH. This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice is issued as FIT1DH6229A2. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334112, with small business standard size 1000 employees. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Numbered note #22 applies to this acquisition. Sole Source Justification Statement: The Motorola KMF Client software upgrade is Motorola proprietary equipment and as such, not available from other vendors.
