Description
DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS (VA) COMPETITION FOR EXISTING LEASE LOCATION The VA currently occupies 25,253 net usable square feet of space at 2221 Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard in Oakland, CA as an outpatient clinic. The lease expires on July 11, 2008. VA is conducting a competition for alternative space and will relocate if advantageous to the Government. The cost of moving, alterations, and other factors will be considered when determining whether to relocate. The space must be contiguous and provide between 25,253 to 27,778 NUSF of space. On-site parking for 98 vehicles is required. A lease for up to 5 years will be considered. Occupancy required by July 1, 2008. To be considered, space must be within or bordering the delineated area in Oakland, CA as follows: South ? 20th Street East ? Telegraph Avenue North ? 27th Avenue West ? San Pablo Avenue Offerors must provide evidence that properties are outside the 100-year flood plain. VA staff will conduct a market survey of properties offered for lease. RESPONDENTS ARE ADVISED THAT THE VA ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY TO AWARD A LEASE BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS ADVERTISEMENT.
