- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs VA Mid-Atlantic Healthcare Network (VISN 6) has a need for a contractor to provide all labor, tools, materials and equipment, to include refrigerated trucks, necessary for the weekly transportation/delivery of cook-chill food products from the food production kitchen located at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Hampton, Virginia (VAMC Hampton) to the seven VA Medical Centers located in North Carolina (Asheville, Fayetteville, Durham, Salisbury), Virginia (Richmond, Salem) and West Virginia (Beckley). Delivery shall be accomplished through specified distribution routes within two days after pick up from VAMC Hampton. Point of origin for each distribution route is the food production kitchen at VAMC Hampton. The VA estimates one trip per week per distribution route. This requirement is 100% set aside for service disabled veteran owned small businesses (SDVOSB). The NAICS code is 484220. Size standard is $23.5M. Contract period will be twelve months from date of award plus one twelve month renewable option periods. The procurement will be conducted utilizing the commercial item procedures of FAR 12 in conjunction with FAR 13. Solicitation packages will be available on or about September 15, 2006. Quotations will be due on or before October 2, 2006. Faxed or electronic offers will not be accepted. Solicitation documents may be obtained electronically at www.bos.oamm.va.gov or www2.fbo.gov.
