- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of Comprehensive Medical Services for the inmate population at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York and Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) in New York, New York. Services to be provided shall include inpatient/outpatient hospital services, inpatient/outpatient physician services, and outpatient institution services. The contract type is requirements type contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of a 12 month base period with four 12 month option periods for renewal, if exercised. The estimated quantities are: base year and option year one 101 inpatient days and 720 outpatient visits; option year two and option year three 108 inpatient days and 720 outpatient visits; and option year four 114 inpatient days and 720 outpatient visits. Due to the volume of information, quantities of outpatient institution services will be provided in the solicitation document. The solicitation will be available on or about October 16, 2006 and will be distributed solely through the General Service Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interest parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of proposals is on or about December 15, 2006. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 622110. This solicitation is unrestricted. Faith-based and community based organizations can submit offers equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered.
