- The purpose of this synopsis modification is to supplement the original synopsis to provide model numbers of the x-ray equipment at issue and to extend the due date for submission of capability statements. The Department of Energy is pursuing a sole-source contract because replacement parts required for general maintenance servicing are only available from L3 Communications Security and Detection Systems. The proposed maintenance agreement is to service the following Perkin-Elmer Detection Systems or L3 Communications Security and Detection Systems manufactured equipment: Model Number Equipment SYS 222 Linescan 3 SYS 210 Linescan 3 Capability statements must be submitted by 9:00AM on September 22, 2006 via the Department of Energy "Industry Interactive Procurement System" (IIPS) at the following Internet address http://doe-iips.pr.doe.gov/. Vendors must register via the IIPS web site prior to responding to this market survey. Instructions on how to submit your response can be found in the document, which is located at http://doe-iips.pr.doe.gov/.
