- THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Weather Service (NWS), Taunton, Massachusetts is in need of a contractor to supply all labor, equipment, Permits (if needed), materials and incidentals to remove 1 ? inches of existing asphalt in all entrance areas, road areas, and parking areas, reapply 1 ? inch of new asphalt, removal of all concrete parking bumpers and reinstall, repaint all parking spaces to include handicap parking. The work performed must meet all current Uniform Building Code, Life Safety Codes, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, and all State and Local Codes. Provide hot-mix asphalt pavement in accordance to the materials, workmanship, and other applicable requirements of the Federal Highway Administration?s standard specifications for ?Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects. The contractor shall hire a Certified Testing Company in Bituminous Paving Materials. The testing company shall have authority granted by the State of Massachusetts or be licensed to operate in the State of Massachusetts for the work required. The contractor shall be responsible for all measurements and is encouraged to make a site visit prior to bidding. The resultant procurement will be a firm-fixed price contract. This will be a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) is 237310. The size standard for Small Business is $31 million. The estimated price range of this project is between $25,000 to $100,000. The Contractor shall start the performance of work on Friday morning and finish all paving requirements prior to Monday morning. All painting shall be applied twenty (20) days after completion of paving. All contractors doing business with the Government are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) and the On-line Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). In order to register with the CCR and ORCA and become eligible to receive an award, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number.
