- Description
- Ammendment 0001 is being issued Friday, SEP 15, 2006 in order to re-establish the closing date for solicitation #SP041006R2136 from SEP 11, 2006 to SEP 20, 2006. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. Contractor shall be EPA certified to recover ozone depleting materials from various size cylinders and refurbish cylinders in accordance with requirements specified in the solicitation. The contractor shall transport Government furnished cylinders from DDRV, Richmond, VA 23297, weigh cylinders, recover product from all cylinders, provide reports as specified in the solicitation, package recovered product in Government furnished cylinders, refurbish all serviceable cylinders in accordance with the requirements specified in the solicitation, dispose of all non-serviceable cylinders, and return all refurbished cylinders and cylinders containing recovered product to DDRV, Richmond, VA 23297. The number of cylinders that will be processed under this requirement is approximately 5,626 virgin and recovery type cylinders ranging in size from 42 lb. water capacity to 1000 lb. water capacity. The Government estimates that approximately 110,000 lbs. of product will be recovered from these cylinders. Cylinder type will include Halon 1211, Halon 1301, R-114, and R-502. Work will be accomplished in four distinct segments/line items and all work is to be completed within 360 days from the date of contract award. The solicitation will contain a detailed Statement of Work to be performed under this contract.
