- THIS IS A MODIFICATION TO THE ORIGINAL SYNOPSIS DATED 8/14/2006. THE CHANGES ARE NOTED IN THE TEXT AND CAPITALIZED. Full line food distribution support including but not limited to fresh and/or frozen meats and poultry, frozen seafood, semi perishable products, beverages, and various other subsistence items (excluding fresh produce, fresh bakery items, and some fresh dairy items) for multiple military and non-DoD customers throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York. The upcoming solicitation will consist of two groups or zones and which will result in two separate two year base term contracts with three additional option periods -- an eighteen month, one year and eighteen month option. The total contract period will be for six years. Zone 1 will include various activities in NJ, Eastern PA and Southern NY at an estimated annual dollar value of $10 million. Zone 2 will include Ft. Drum and several Air National Guard units at an ESTIMATED ANNUAL DOLLAR VALUE OF $3.0 MILLION. Both contracts will have a 10% minimum dollar value guarantee. Both contracts will be awarded using Trade Off procedures (formerly known as Best Value), whereby technical and pricing factors are evaluated, with technical factors considered significantly more important. This is a small business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit proposals on each group separately or singly, and will be considered by the agency. Note: A pre-proposal conference will take place at a date and time set forth in the solicitation at the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, PA. Anticipated solicitation issuance date is 21 SEPTEMBER 2006 and will be available electronically on the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil.
