Description
The Defense Distribution Center, Norfolk Naval Base (DDNV), Bldg W143-5th Floor, Norfolk, VA has a requirement for a contractor to provide 40 cubic yard construction dumpsters. Period of performance is from October 01, 2006 to September 30, 2007. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12 effective Aug. 04, 2006 and DFARS DCN 20060908 edition. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System ( NAICS) code is 562111 and the associated size standard is 500 employees to be classified as a small business concern. Line item 0001- Cost per pull (Dump) $___________. Cost per pull on containers filled with metal will be at no charge. Description: Contractor to provide 40 cubic yard construction dumpsters that can be delivered emptied and returned on a 24 hour basis. These dumpsters must be able to take trash, metal, wood and construction debris all in one box. Contractor must pick-up empty and return dumpster in a 4 hours time limit from time of call. These dumpsters will be positioned throughout the Norfolk Naval Base, Norfolk, VA (DDNV). All dumpsters will be delivered and on an on-call basis. Delivery receipts will be turned in on a monthly basis for payment. Contractor will be notified on all pickups and returns. DDNV personnel will sign all delivery receipts from contractor (truck driver) verifying dumps. All delivery receipts shall be sent to Norfolk Naval Base (DDNV), Bldg W143- 5th Floor, Norfolk, VA. Drivers must have proof of insurance coverage and valid VA driver?s license at all times. Contractor must comply with all Recycling, Safety, Environmental, and Security regulations and laws. Award will be based on the lowest price quotation received.
