- The USDA, Animal and Plant Inspection Service (APHIS), Wildlife Services (WS) Cedar City, Utah, intends to award a commercial contract for GPS Aviation Tracking units - Qty. 23 with optional quantities up to 10 units. The contract for the 23 units will also include One year of reporting fee services and optional units. Commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12 will be used. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded under NAICS code 334290. This IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with format FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Units and service support shall be priced separately. The GPS Aviation Tracking Units have must satisfy the mandatory technical specifications: (1) ability to notify of accidents via inertia switch, (2) have alarm notification via pilot activated switch for assistance, (3) alarm notification for designated latitude for unintended border crossing and secure site for Wildlife Services Personnel only. Reporting fees are based on 450 hours per year per unit on 23 units at 10 minute reporting intervals. Please supply pricing for GPS Aviation tracking units separate from Reporting fees. It is mandatory offers include marketing or company literature that supports technical specifications listed above.The Government will award a contract to a single awardee and a purchase order will be issued for the initial requirement for 23 units. Award will be evaluated based on technically acceptable and best value to the Government. Evaluation will be inclusive of options.
