Description

Project Replace HVAC System, Comm Training Bldg 1950 Sheppard Air Force Base, TX will be issued in the near future. ATTENTION CONTRACTORS: Funds are not currently available for this project. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. Work will consist of furnishing all necessary plant; labor and materials to accomplish the following: Work under this project includes demolition of five (5) existing Multizone Air Handling Units (AHU’s) and their associated ductwork, piping, controls, electrical and appurtances; installation of four (4) new AHU’s with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s) and their associate ductwork, piping, electrical and appurtanances; installation of one (1) new hot water boiler, one (1) new hot water pump with VFD, fifty five (55) Variable Air Volume (VAV) terminals, hot water piping and fittings; installation of new LonWorks HVAC control system and integration of the same to the existing Utility Monitoring and Controlling System (UMCS) in Bldg 1402. See technical drawings for further information. The contractor will do all work with the building occupied and the work area unoccupied. Due to the mission of the building, the contractor shall perform work in sections to insure the training mission can continue with limited interruption. Some of the work may require performance after normal working hours and weekends. The contractor shall coordinate all work with the occupants, the contracting officer and the contracting officer’s representative, who may be an engineering contract inspector, a design manager or a quality assurance person. Contractor progress is measured and reported in terms of completed, installed work. Performance period is 196 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. All work shall be in accordance with the statement of work and drawings. Magnitude of construction project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Solicitation is being issued for full and open competition. Applicable NAICS code for this project is 238220 with a size standard of $13 million dollars. Solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted through the electronic posting system (http://eps.gov/). Paper copies will not be provided. Contractors will be solely responsible for monitoring the Internet and obtaining the solicitation documents and any amendments. Interested offerors must ensure they are registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and ORCA in order to receive award of a contract.
