- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) intends to issue a solicitation for the design-build of a new facility and infrastructure. DOE requires building facilities and infrastructure to be constructed at the Nevada Test Site (NTS) 510 Security Gate, currently located 1½ miles north of US 95 at Lathrop Wells. A design-build, construction project is anticipated with an estimated price range between $5M - $10M. The construction period is expected to last 180 calendar days. This requirement will be a competitive, 100% small business set-aside. The resultant award is expected to be a firm-fixed price contract. The design-build construction to be procured is classified in the North American Industry Classification System code 236220 with a size standard of $28.5M. A Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available through the Industry Interactive Procurement System (IIPS) on or about April 17, 2006 under RFP Number DE-RP28-06RW12369. You may register and access the IIPS system at http://e-center.doe.gov. The RFP will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.500 and 5.102(a)(1), therefore, hard copies will not be provided. There will not be any printed or hard copies of the RFP mailed. Additionally, most public libraries have resources available to electronically access and download the RFP. NOTE: The RFP will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your proposal nonresponsive and result in rejection of the same. Please submit by March 31, 2006, an e-mail to rosa_gomez@ymp.gov referencing the anticipated RFP Number and project title if you intend to propose. This e-mail should also include your company’s name and information (i.e. address, phone number) and a statement of qualifications in design-build construction. This information will only be used to determine the magnitude of interested parties. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (09-MAR-2006).
