- The Naval Air Systems Command announced on 4 August 2006, Reference Number N00019-06-P7-ZD307 the intent to conduct a full and open competition for the CH-46E Crashworthy Troop Seats (CTS) for the crew chief (CC) and the aerial observer (AO) with an Industry Day sometime around the 18-20 September 2006. The Industry Day for the CH-46E Crashworthy Troop Seats (CTS) is now scheduled for 25 October 2006 at the Naval Aviation Depot, Bldg. # 137, Cherry Point, NC. The Brief and aircraft viewing will be 9:00 am to 11:00 am and a Questions and Answers will be 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A CH-46E Helicopter will be available to familiarize vendors with the required location of the CC and AO seats and for taking measurements. Vendors will be permitted at that time to ask specific questions regarding the technical requirements and acquisition schedule. Documentation will be available for the vendors regarding the technical and acquisition requirements no later than a week prior to Industry Day. Vendors will need to obtain a visit request before arriving at the base. Visit requests can be obtained using the Naval Aviation Depot, Cherry Point web site at http://www.nadepcp.navy.mil, click on the visitor tab and follow instructions.
