Description
The proposed contract action is for commercial items, which the Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested contractors/persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations. This notice of interest is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all quotes received by September 22, 2006, 10:00AM, Pacific Standard Time, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, N00259-06-T-0267 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 622110, Dollars $31.5M. Statement of work: The vendor shall perform diagnostic testing for all required tests listed below to include labor and materials related to testing samples: a. enterovirus, b. M. Tuberculosis, c. Herpes Simplex Virus, d. Cytogalovirus, e. Varicella Zoster, f. Bordatella Perussis Virus. Specimens are to be sent to vnedor via the Naval Medical Camp Pendleton duty driver. Perform tests within 24 hour turn-around-time after receiving specimen. Exceptions are tests that require further testing. If sample has a positive result, the contractor lab will send a faxed copy to the Laboratory Department Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. Provide within 10 working days hard copies of all laboratory results for computer entry and government certification. Must be in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations. Invoicing must be on a 30 day billing cycle and must be submitted electronically through the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF).
