- The United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Disease (USAMRIID) intends to acquire upgrade for Closed Circuit TV Systems in the aging BSL 4 Patient Containment Care Suite. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial it ems prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W81XWH-06-T-0495. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 01-16. The NAICS code is 517510. The Contract Line Item Numbers (CLIN) 0001: CCTV Project; Upgrade, support and maintain this BSL 4 facility in accordance with the following Statement of Objectives (SOO). 1. Three environmental PTZ cameras in the two patient rooms and the alcove. 2. One 20 monitor, CCTV keyboard, quad splitter and single channel digital video recorder will be installed at the nurses station. 3. Four vandal proof speaker/microphones in the patient rooms, operating room, and the alcove. 4. One four zone two way audio monitoring base station will be installed at the nurses station for listening/recording and will be connected to a standard time lapse recorder. 5. Two 27 televisions with DVD/VCR and wireless headsets in the patient rooms. 6. All cable will be run in EMT conduit. 7. All penetrations will be sealed and all conduits will have seal offs at all wall penetrations. 8. Standard warranty is a 1- year manufacturers equipment warranty from the date of customer signoff. also 1-year labor warranty will also be included for any defects that arise out of any installation faults or defects by technicians from date of custome r signoff. Operation and Maintenance manuals for each specific type of device installed bounds and indexed for use. Please provide Experience/Past Performance. Provide names and contact information for three references for which similar work has been accomplished. Provide a description of the work accomplished for each reference. Award will be made to the Offeror that presents the best value to the Government. Award may be made to other than the lowest price offeror. A site visit is scheduled at USAMRIID, Bldg 1425, Fort Detrick, MD on 18 September 2006 from 0900 1000 hours to view BSL 4 Patient Containment Care Suite.
