- This is not a request for competitive quotations. This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER using the simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13 to: SPSS Inc., for the procurement of Clementine Server Software, Client Software, Text Mining , Base Client Software, Maintenance, 5 Day SPSS On-Site Training, 5 Days of SPSS Consulting, Training Expense, and Option for SPSS Upgrades , Qty 1. SPSS is deemed the sole the manufacturer and developer of the SPSS Clementine Clien t, Server, text mining, bas, solutions publisher, and predictive enterprise services software products. In addition SPSS Inc. is the sole provider os multi-year maintenance support, on-site training, and consulting. INTENTION: Award a Firm Fixed Price (F FP) contract for the above stated requirement to SPSS Inc. The supplies/services required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1). Interested sources may identify their interest and c apability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. DURATION: Delivery of this item is requested by no later than 30 September 2006, with a period of performance of 1 year from the date of award. All quotations received within 3 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order/contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Info rmation received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
