Description
(c) Description: A 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal acquisistion will be conducted for a quantity of 4 uniquely configured 4 wheel drive all terrain vehicles for the installation security forces. The Brand Name that will be specified in the solicitation as reflecting the characteristics and level of quality that will satisfy the Government?s needs is the Polaris Sportsman MV7 700cc twin cylinder. (1) The National Stock Number (NSN) will be assigned in the solicitation. (2) To be considered for award, offers of equal products must meet the following Salient physical, functional or performance characteristics: Sportsman MV7 ATV or it?s equivalent. Military Green, 700cc twin cylinder, 4 wheel independent suspension, steel deck, 2 gas tanks (9 gallons) 2 (front and rear) 2500lb winches, run flat tires. (3) Manufacturer, Polaris Part Number A05MH68CA (6) Quantity 4 (7) Unit of issue. Each (8) Destination information FOB USAF Academy, Colorado 80840 (11) For a proposed contract action in an amount estimated to be greater than $25,000 but not greater than the simplified acquisition threshold, enter? (i) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: technical acceptability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement; (ii) price; Technical acceptability and price, when combined, are equal. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers. Award will be made on the basis of determining the technically acceptable offer with the lowest evaluated price which meets or exceeds the requirements in this document. To be considered technically acceptable an offer must beet the salient physical, functional or performance characteristics specified. (ii) Anticipated award date. September 21, 2006 (13) This acquisition will be unrestricted. (15) All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered. (16) The solicitation will be electronically available through this GPE .
