- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Purchase Request number is F2XTB96242A100. This is a Request for Quote using Simplified Acquisition Procedures found at FAR Subpart 13 and is for the purchase of: 0001 Two (2) Intercomp PT300DW-6-10 SCALE SYSTEMS or equal. Each system is made up of six (6) portable, double wide (approx 22in wide) electronic drive-on scales. Used for weighing military trucks with large or double wheels. Must have a capacity of 20,000 lbs displayed in 10 lb increments. Must be both electric and battery powered. Each set must come with wheeled carrying case capable of carrying six scales. Must be interconnected with totalizer and cables and manuals. Two digital sheer beem load cells with NICAD rechargable batteries. Total number of scales is twelve (12). Deliver to 25th APS, 10 South Arnold St., Maxwell AFB, AL 36112 All quotes must be received no later than 21 Sep 2006, 4:00 PM CST. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-07, dated 03 Jan 2006. and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) change notice 20051220. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This acquisition is being solicited as a small business set aside and open market quotes are requested. Award will be made to one vendor. The North American Industrial Classification System Code is 333997 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated by either reference or full text and are to remain in full force in any resultant purchase order: FAR 52.212-1 ? Instructions to Offerors, Commercial Item (Jan 2006) applies to this acquisition and is addended to delete paragraphs (e) Multiple offers and paragraph (h) Multiple Awards. The Government will make an award to the lowest priced, responsible, contractor whose proposal conforms to the solicitation. The contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, in Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF), and with the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) before an award can be made. Both CCR and ORCA registrations can be completed online through http://www.bpn.gov, and WAWF registration can be completed at https://wawf.eb.mil.
