- Description
- The 37th Contracting Squadron, Lackland AFB, TX intends to solicit a proposal and negotiate a sole source acquisition with Shotspotter, Inc., Mountain View, CA and The Insitsu Group, Bingen WA under the authority FAR 6.302-1. Services include engineering, technical, and integration services in support of the individual unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and sensor systems for the Air Force-Force Protection Battlelab (AF-FPBL). Shotspotter and Insitsu are the original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and the only sources with the requisite expertise, technical data, and qualified personnel of the acoustic gunshot detection system sensor and UAV. The services to be provided will determine if a small, lightweight, low-cost persistent intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance UAV integrated with shot (firearm discharge) detection technology can provide enhance situational to increase situational awareness in the nuclear security mission area. The NAICS Code is 541330 and the small business size standard is $25,000,000.00. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency. Proposals must be received not later than Monday, 18 Sep 06, 3:00 p.m. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this notice.
