Description

MIXED PAPER RECYLING SELLING AGREEMENT The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Abitibi Consolidated Recycling Division, PO Box 607, Carnegie, PA 15106 to buy its scrap paper products, including high grade paper, newspaper, mixed paper, notebooks, folders, magazines, catalogs and shredded paper. The contractor shall provide containers (e.g., 7 cubic yard containers) for collection of paper on a weekly schedule at all three VAPHS sites (Highland Drive, University Drive, and H.J. Heinz Divisions). One container at the University Drive facility; two containers at the Heinz facility one (1) at Bldg #32 and one (1) at Bldg #51; Highland Drive will have five containers, one (1) at Bldg #1, one (1) at Bldg #2, one at Bldg #4, and two (2) containers at Bldg #32. The contractor must be able to process and/or verify authentic recycling outlets for the paper. The contractor will provide monthly statements detailing the monthly tonnage picked up and the payment schedule including quantity incentives?breakdown of 0-3.99 ton, 4-7.99 ton and plateau at 8 ton. The contractor must sign a Business Associate Agreement with the VAPHS.
