- Description
- This acquisition is for an Firm Fixed-price contract consisting of a basic year and four one-year options. The contractor shall provide qualified wildlife control and management personnel, labor, equipment, and tools to eliminate or mitigate risk from birds/wildlife at March ARB and provide a safe operating environment for air operations on the airfield/aerodrome. These measures may include but are not limited to falconry, trained dogs, harassment, trapping, relocation, depredation, egg treatment, airfield/aerodrome patrol, and perimeter fence monitoring. The successful contractor will be selected using Performance Price Tradeoff (PPT) procedures, resulting in the best value to the Government. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest price. The associated North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code is 561710, and Small Business size standard is $6,000,000. The solicitation will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.fbo.gov on or about 14 July 2006 with a proposal receipt date on or about 22 August 2006. Anticipate award by 15 September 2006 with an anticipated start date of 01 October 2006. NOTE: POTENTIAL OFFERORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MONITORING THE FEDERAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES WEDSITE FOR THE RELEASE OF THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE, UPDATES, AMENDMENTS AND ANY OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION. All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representation and Certifications Application (ORCA) in order to be eligible for contract award. Registration may take some time to complete, so it is recommended that immediate action be initiated to ensure eligibility. For CCR registration, go to http://www.ccr.gov, and for ORCA registration, go to http://www.bpn.gov, and follow the instructions. A pre-proposal conference/site visit will be held on 25 July 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Operational Contracting Office conference room, 1940 Graeber Street, Bldg 449, March ARB CA. Potential offerors planning to attend the pre-proposal conference are requested to submit their names to the Contract Specialist listed below after the solicitation package has been downloaded.
