See attachments at: http://www.epa.gov/oamhpod1/admin_placement Custom Furniture (Lecturns) NAICS Code: 337211 THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION (FAR) SUBPART 13.5 SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITIONS PROCEDURES SYNOPSES AND POSTING REQUIREMENTS", AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION. QUOTES, INCLUSIVE OF DRAWINGS AND SAMPLES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This Request for Quotations (RFQ) is for a vendor that can manufacture three (3) lecterns. The desired lectern design is similar in appearance to one of the Presidential Podiums. The design specifications are listed below. The wood, stain and finish to be used on the lecterns must be an exact match to the existing furniture which was recently procured under a separate order. The vendor will be required to submit working drawings and a sample of the requested finish to EPA for approval. EPA will provide the A/V specification sheets after award. It will be your responsibility to frequently check the same site where the notice is posted for any amendments. Evaluation shall be made on a "best value basis". Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database and must provide their DUNS number with the offer. The following provisions apply to the purchase order: FAR 52.204-3 Tax Payer Identification, FAR 52.213-1 Fast Payment Procedure, FAR 52.213-4 Terms and Conditions-Simplified Acquisition Procedures, FAR 52.232-33 Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration, FAR 52.249-1 Termination for Convenience. Writing surface and surround to be MDF, finished with an opaque colored lacquer, color to be determined (S-10). Face and sides of two (2) lecterns to be plain sliced cherry (V-1) veneer in a book matched pattern. Face and sides of one (1) lectern to be MDF, finished with an opaque colored lacquer, color to be determined (S-10). Lectern base to be 3" high solid cherry (W-1). Four (4) adjustable casters Two (2) hinged doors. Lecterns to have cut-outs and connectors for one (1) microphone. Lecterns to have an adjustable lift. The top section of two (2) lecterns to be finished with an opaque colored lacquer, color to be determined (S-10). Plain sliced cherry (V-1) and solid cherry (W-1) on lower section of two (2) lecterns to be finished with custom stain (S-9). Top coat to be catalyzed lacquer. One (1) lectern to be finished with an opaque colored lacquer, color to be determined (S-10). The lecterns must be blanket wrapped and protected for delivery via vendor's truck to EPA. The vendor will be required to unpack and assemble/install the items.
