- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River proposes to procure approximately 172 Crash Attenuated Troop Seat System (CATSS) improvement kit shipsets. Each shipset consists of 32 individual production installation kits. Installation kits include a Sling (Mfg Catalog # MBCS12441) and a Harness W/ Latch Buckle (Mfg Catalog # MBCS12440). This is a noctice of intent to request a proposal and negotiate with Martin Baker Aircraft Co. LTD, of Higher Denham Near Uxbridge, Middlesex, Great Britain, UB9 5AJ on an other than full and open competitive basis. MBA is the original designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the H-53 CATSS and the only source that posses the technical data, knowledge and experience necessary to perform the required efforts. The government intends to negotiate on a sole source basiswith MBA to deliver the required installation kits. The proposed action will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The estimated period of performance for this effort will be 36 months after award.
