Description

SEND SPECIFIC TECHNICAL QUESTIONS RELATED TO THIS PROJECT TO MR. ROGER GERTH AT FAX: 251-694-4264. OTHER FORMS OF COMMUNICATING QUESTIONS TO THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT BE HONORED. THIS PROJECT IS ADVERTISED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS PURSUANT TO THE SMAL L BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM. In general, work will consist of rental of cutterhead pipeline dredge, 14 inch to 24 inch, with attendant plant and operators for maintenance dredging of principally coastal Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, a nd maybe the river system. Estimated cost range of the project is from $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Solicitation/bid documents should be available on or about 29 September 2006. Mr. Leo J. Hickman is Contracting Officer for this project. The North Americ an Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990. Note No. 1: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is implementing a new procedure for posting all NEW solicitations. The Mobile District Electronic Bid Solicitations (EBS) system will no longer be used to post solicitat ions. The new system, called Federal Technical Data System (FedTeDS), is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information for all Federal agencies. All prospective contractors and their subcontractors and suppliers must be registered in FedTeDS before they will be allowed to download solicitation information.
