- The US Army TACOM-PICATINNY has a requirement to improve the accuracy of currently available large quantities of conventional cannon-fired projectiles, a family of Precision Area Fires Initiative (PAF-I) projectile design is to be developed to enhance the effectiveness of conventional projectiles. The Precision Area Fires Initiative (PAF-I) design concept utilizes 2-D Corrector canard configuration to optimize and improve the round???s accuracy. The task to fulfill this purchase order is to assist the Government???s development of the 2- D Corrector designs utilizing the Government owe TELA* computer software program for simulations. This requirement also includes any necessary effort required to tailor, modify, or expand the Government???s TELA software program capabilities such as autopilot design, Monte Carlo simulation, and six or seven DOF simulation source code development with error sources, to yield the accuracy necessary for the overall effective projectile from the optimal 2-D Corrector canard design. See Numbered Note 22. This requirement will be awarded on a sole source basis to Amoruso and Associates located in Long Valley NJ.
