Description

HQ ACC CONS, Langley AFB, VA intends to award a brand name sole source, contract to Advanced Interactive Systems (AIS), for a virtual convoy combat trainer (VCT). The VCT provides a 70 feet by 70 feet, fully climate controlled, 360-degree structure to house the Advanced Interactive Systems Warrior/Convoy Skills Trainer (WST) 2000. The WST is composed of two (2) 5-lane Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) 2000 180 degree systems providing 360 degrees presentation, one (1) high fidelity HumVee simulated vehicle, Mark VR Forces CGI Software, one (1) EST 2000 system controlled M240 machinegun, three (3) system controlled EST 2000 M4 carbine rifles with M68 Close Combat Optics (CCO) and Backup Iron Sights (BUIS), complete installation, integration, and testing of all purchased items, three days of on site system operations and maintenance, and shipping and handling. Currently, AIS is the only known supplier. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This procurement is authorized IAW 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c )(1). No solicitation document exists. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement via email to kyle.covell@langley.af.mil before 4:00 p.m. EST, 15 Sep 2006. Telephone requests will not be honored. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
