- Presolicitation Notice - 9/12/2006 RFQ: VA-528-06-RQ-0106 NAICS Code: 423450 (Medical Equipment, Wholesalers) The VA's VISN 2 Network (Upstate NY) has determined a need for a powered pneumatic surgical drill. This drill must be capable of 10,000 to 75,000 adjustable speed, must be light and easily movable, must have at least two motors, be reasonably ergonomically effective, and have reversible direction capabilities. The drill must also have foot controls and cleaning attachments. Based on market research performed by the VISN, it has been determined that only one vendor can be reasonably expected to supply a product fulfilling the aforementioned specifications. It has therefore been decided that it is in the Government's best interest to sole-source this award to Medtronic Neurologic Technologies, 25 Glenwood North RD #17, Hampstead, NH 03841. Item purchased is one Legend EHS Kit (US), as well as all accompanying power supplies and attachments.
