- DESCRIPTION: VA Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System Contracting Office intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Life Systems Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement is to obtain equipment for an Electrosurgical Unit, VIO 300D, and Coagulation Unit for VIO Argon Plasma APC2 and associated equipment from Life systems Inc., 231 Millwell Dr, Maryland Heights, MO 63943-2511. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. All proposals received by 3:00 P.M. Central Daylight Time, September 18, 2005, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
