- This is a notice for the intended, 100% Small Business Set-Aside, Sole Source effort to Sabtech Industries, Inc., 23231 La Palma Ave., Yorba Linda, CA 92887-4768 to deliver the SMILES Rackmount 2 Channel Parallel Model #SC-40032-02 and Transit Case Model #SC-01000-00 used to replace legacy military electronics (no longer manufactured), and for which the spares are being exhausted on the Trident Software Integration Lab (TSIL) Program. The parts to be supplied consist of the following: QTY (1) SC-40032-02 SMILES Rackmount 2 Channel Parallel, QTY (1) ST-01000-00 SMILES STD Transit Case. This contract will be awarded per the authority at 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, ?Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.? Sabtech Industries, Inc. is the only manufacturer of this equipment: a reconfigurable, ?drop-in? replacement for many older pieces of military equipment that no longer exist. This unit is required to emulate the function of this equipment, so that the trainers will not be permanently disabled following the exhaustion of currently available spares. This notice, reference #0010185466, of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement as prime contractor. The Government will consider any company believing they have the capability of satisfying this requirement, and are invited to provide a technical capability statement. A determination by the Government not to compete the procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Timely information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. An award shall be issued on or about 18 September 2006. This procurement will result in a Firm-Fixed-Price contract utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
